Fallout 76: Encryptid Bug Causing Players to Get Stuck as Conduits

A bug popped up in Fallout 76 where players get trapped as a “conduit” after finishing the Encryptid event. This leaves them unable to log out and causes their health to drain fast, leading to frustration.

The issue shows up after players complete the Encryptid event. Once done, some find themselves stuck into a conduit, which is a creature that is usually an enemy in the game. Although players keep moving and interacting, their health keeps going down slowly. Logging out becomes impossible while stuck like this.

No official solution is available yet. Some have suggested changing servers or letting their character die to escape this state. However, these attempts don’t always solve the matter permanently, and there’s a risk of getting stuck again after trying these methods.

If you are unfortunate enough to encounter this bug, try switching servers right away or dying to check if the issue gets solved. If that doesn’t do the trick, waiting may be the only option for a fix from Bethesda.

Until then, be cautious around the Encryptid event to avoid the problem. Save your progress before doing the Encryptid event. If stuck, don’t forget to report it to Bethesda so they can examine the bug.
