Lots of Pokemon GO players feel upset after an update made Raid Battles tougher. Now players have trouble beating raid bosses.
Players have noticed that bosses use charged attacks more often, which makes it harder to win. This is a big problem for smaller groups or players who fight solo.
Many players complained on the subreddit. They shared how fast their Pokemon had been knocked out. Some said they no longer want to join Raid Battles because they are too hard. The changes happened suddenly without warning. Players worry the game has become unfair.
Niantic Support answered the complaints with a tweet. They said they reduced the rate of how often Raid Bosses use charged attacks. They also hinted at future changes to balance the game.
Trainers, in response to increased difficulty of Raid Battles we have reduced the rate at which Raid Bosses release charged attacks. Note that there may be more changes later in order to balance the difficulty of Raid Battles. #PokémonGO

While the response helped some people feel better, others still wait to see what happens. Maybe Niantic didn’t plan for the battles to be this difficult or didn’t think players would react so strongly.
Now players hope Niantic keeps listening and will adjust the battles to make them fun again for everyone, not just the best players.
They want raids that aren’t too easy but also not too frustrating for casual players. Many players eagerly await the next update to see if the battles really become better.
